Description
Different from chemical screen printing, the traditional hollow version of white pulp resist printing has a history of 1,300 years. It uses lime and soybean meal as dyeing inhibitors. After the dyeing vat is well maintained, the painted floral cloth is put into the vat. After the cloth is fully dyed, it is taken out and flattened. The fabric soaked in dye is oxidized in the air, and the dyeing inhibitor is dried and fallen off to show beautiful patterns. The pattern and blue cloth have a natural transition, which is incomparable to chemical dyeing. Because it is hand-printed, these broken lines have a poetic name called ice cracks, which are a major feature formed by the unique craftsmanship of blue printed cloth.
